ICE is a way of life; it is at once urban and close to nature, inspired by architecture that wispers timeless simplicity through clean elegant lines. ICE is tall, sleek and ultimately cool. ICE is Scandinavian-inspired design emerging as a gleaming amalgam of glass and metal from the concrete labyrinth of Canada's largest metropolis. ICE offers a green roof that will impact the Toronot skyline with lush, oxygen creating landscaping; while creating a canopy of organic shelter over the bustling plaza below. ICE is condominium living that melds its contemporary design with trendsetting lifestyle amenities in Toronto's premiere waterfront location. ICE is prime real estate, sculpted for urban purchasers.
When the ICE design team, handpicked by developers Mark Mandlebaum and Barry Fento of Lanterra Developments set out to create the finishing touches for ICE, the developers suggested a trip to Scandinavia to experience first hand the unique and enduring qualities of Scandinavian design. The trip was more than an excercies in exploring new ideas; it facilitated a veritable explosion in the creative process that resulted in artistry at every turn - from the lobby and common area to the inimitable amenities to the building's furnishings and to the suite's finishes.
Among those who travelled to Denmark and Sweden were architect Emerich Kaspar, of architectsAlliance, interior designers Alessandro Munge and Daria Winnicki of Munge Leung.
Dispite their northern climate, Scandinavians love to be outside in nature, so both Stockholm and Copenhagen (like all Nordic cities) are awash in squares, courtyards and parks of all sizes and types. Indeed, Stockholm has more parks than any other city in the world with over 40% of its land area devoted to open space. All in, there are 38 different parks, including Eko Park, the world's only urban national park. To demonstrate its commitment to a "green" environment, the City of Stockholm has plans afoot to ensure that all its residents are within 200 metres of some sort of green oasis and within 500 metres of a place to picnic, play soccer or just stop to smell the flowers.
Both of these two great Nordic capitals have an impressive array of historic squares, courtyards and expansive parks. Copenhagen, for instance, is the home of the famous Trivoli Gardens - a 19th century Disneyland and its pedestria-only walking street, the Storget, which is full of life 24/7.
The commitment to green space and to enjoyable outdoor recreational space that is so naturally prevalent in Scandinavian countries, inspired the ICE designers to create a similar ambiance. The entrance to ICE is pronounced by an extensive coutyard, partially shaded by a truly innovative 6,000 meter green roof canopy that provides a significant environmental benefit, a dramatic architectural statement and lovely shade from the element. Beneath the canopy, a bustling urban plaza featuring outdoor terraces and cafes will add gusto to this urban space. Like its Scandinavian cousins, the plaza at ICE Condos will become one of the many charms of downtown Toronto living.
The heart of the podium amenities complex is The Ice Bridge - a masterful work of art that connects the ICE spa to the gym / yoga / work-out area. The Spa provides the Scandinavian delight of jumping into a cold plunge pool and into a hot steam room.

The gym comes fully loaded with all the latest cardio and weight-training equipment. The mezzanie fitness level includes two massage rooms and a yoga and aerobics studio.
Completing the ICE aquatic experience is a 4' deep pool with a kids wading area and a whirlpool. The ICE complex also includes a children's play area off the main floor lobby.
